Membership and Booking Fees

Charlotte Peak City Sitters has a straightforward system for finding a long‑term or short‑term nanny. Families start by paying a $45 annual membership which is non‑refundable but can be cancelled at any time. After signing a parent contract, families pay a $50 search fee to begin the nanny search. An initial consultation helps the agency understand your specific needs and expectations. Once the consultation is complete, the agency contacts vetted candidates and shares their profiles with you. A trial period lets you confirm that the nanny is a good fit

Placement Fees

Placement fees vary depending on the length of the assignment. For a new search you pay $50. Long‑term placements, defined as three months or longer, have a discounted monthly fee: $80 per month for two days per week, $90 per month for three days, $108 per month for four days, and $135 per month for five days. Short‑term placements of one or two months use a per‑request fee similar to babysitting: $18 with twenty‑four hours notice, $20 with less than one day, and $22 with less than twelve hours notice. These Nanny Rates allow families to spread costs over the time the nanny is employed.

The agency also offers consultation services for families who have already found a caregiver but need help with screening and contract guidance. The screening package costs $300 and includes a consultation, two potential candidates, reference verification, national background checks, driving record checks, and verification of child and infant CPR certifications. Additional support is available for temporary or backup care. Part of the consultation cost can be credited toward membership if you join the annual program

Tips for Budgeting and Hiring

Decide on Placement Length

Determine whether you need a short‑term or long‑term caregiver. Long‑term placements have lower monthly fees but require a longer commitment.

Plan for Search and Consultation Fees

Budget for the $50 search fee for recurring nanny placements, plus the monthly placement fee. For one-time jobs, there is no $50 recurring search fee, but an additional per-request search fee applies.

Ask About Certifications

Nannies with CPR, newborn care, or child development training offer additional safety and educational benefits.

Understand Hourly vs. Salary Pay

Paying hourly is common and ensures compliance. A salary can offer predictability.

Discuss Duties Up Front

Clarify expectations for household tasks, transportation, and educational activities. More responsibilities generally mean higher costs.

Plan for Holidays

Be aware that holiday care often requires higher pay.

Hourly or Flat Charges for Nannies

Once a placement is made, families pay the nanny directly. For long‑term or short‑term positions, the rate ranges from $22 to $24 per hour for one or two children and $24 to $26 per hour for three or four children. Jobs of two hours or less may be charged a flat fee of $50. When overnight care is required, families pay $75 per night plus the applicable hourly rates when the children are awake. These fees are similar to the babysitting overnight rates but reflect the added responsibilities of a nanny.

Overnight and Special Event Nanny Care

Families sometimes need overnight help for work trips, big projects, or time away. Charlotte Peak City Sitters uses the same placement fees for overnight nanny care as regular care. The overnight fee is $75 per night, and you also pay the nanny’s hourly rate for any hours the children are awake. For example, if your child is awake for an hour after bedtime, you pay the nightly fee plus the hourly rate for that awake time.

Special events like weddings, reunions, conferences, or family gatherings also have set pricing. Families pay $120 for one or two caregivers when they provide their own entertainment, or $175 when Peak City Sitters brings activities. If a family needs more than two caregivers, each extra nanny is $35. Event hourly nanny rates follow the nanny schedule: $22–$24 per hour for one or two children and $24–$26 per hour for three or four children.

Out-of-town visitors can book nanny care as well. The fee is $45 for a day or night with one nanny, plus $18 for each extra day or extra nanny needed. The hourly nanny rates for out-of-town care match the standard nanny rates. This gives families clear, simple pricing for short stays, travel needs, and special events.
